Public Notice: Municipal By-Election & Call for CandidatesThe Town of Port Blandford will be holding a Municipal By-Election on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Council welcomes dedicated community members to step forward and serve. Being a Councillor offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to local governance, community projects, and municipal decision-making. If you care about the future of Port Blandford, we encourage you to put your name forward! Nomination Day Information:Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026 Time: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Location: Town Hall, 170 Main Street Fee: $10.00 deposit General Requirements: Candidates must meet standard qualifications under the Municipal Elections Act (18+ years of age, Canadian citizen, resident for 30+ days, and not in tax arrears with the municipality). Both a Proposer and Seconder are required to sign the nomination forms alongside the candidate. For full candidate eligibility criteria and nomination forms, please review the attached Official Public Notice or contact the Returning Officer at the Town Office.
