Mayor’s Message

Welcome to the Town of Port Blandford’s website!

As you explore, you will learn about what the Town has to offer residents, businesses and visitors of our community.

The town provides a great environment to live and play for residents and visitors alike. With three salmon rivers, a sheltered bay and great wilderness areas, the community provides many opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. From hiking in the fall, snowmobiling in winter, catching trout in spring and playing a few rounds on our championship Twin Rivers golf course in summer, Port Blandford is your year-round playground!

The residents of Port Blandford have a strong sense of community, and this is shown in all of the local activities and events that are hosted by the many volunteer organizations. Whether it’s having a supper at a church hall, celebrating Canada Day, participating in Family Fun Days, honouring our veterans on Remembrance Day, or building a float for the Christmas Parade, our residents truly makes our Town a community.

Our community is also a great place to do business, being located on the Trans Canada Highway, close to amenities such as the Terra Nova Golf Resort and Terra Nova National Park, and serving as the gateway to the Bonavista Peninsula.

With so much to offer, it is no surprise why our community continues to grow! Council and staff are working hard to provide supports and services for our community, and to learn more, please follow us on social media, such as Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on what’s happening and keep checking our website for updates on events and activities.

Thanks again for everyone’s support in our community and hope you enjoy learning more about Port Blandford as you explore our website.
