Please join us at the Royal Canadian Legion on Legion Road in Port Blandford - 10:30am Saturday, June 13th. Bring your fly repellent and/or fly net for a visit to our Community Gardens and a stroll around the new Back Garden and Edible Orchard after the talk 😉🪴.NEED ADVICE?With growing vegetables at home? This education talk may be just the thing you need! Krista Reading-Chatman of Three Mile Ridge farm in Lethbridge will share her wealth of knowledge and experience on how to successfully grow vegetables in your own garden. Join us on Saturday, June 13th from 10:30-12:30 at the Municipal Park Cookhouse in Port Blandford (weather permitting, and the Legion if not). You’ll get a of vast array of tips and suggestions from an enthusiastic expert. And the bonus: Admission is FREE!There will be refreshments and snacks available to purchase (proceeds support Back Garden development), as well as many prizes and give-aways to those in attendance!!!Come along and bring a friend. All ages and experience welcome. Bring your burning questions and concerns too - Krista will hold a Q&A at the end. If you haven’t visited our Municipal Park before, you should also allow time to visit the Back Garden, the Edible Orchard and the Community Gardens, after the talk. Canada Day / Memorial Day Weekend!

Canada Day / Memorial Day Weekend events will take place on Saturday June 30, 2018, Sunday July 1, 2018 and Monday July 2, 2018 in cooperation with the organizations of Port Blandford!

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #48 will be hosting a dance starting at 10:00pm on Saturday June 30, 2018 for the Canada Day / Memorial Day Weekend. Further details to be announced.

The Port Blandford Heriatge Society and Royal Canadian Legion Branch #48 will be hosting the unveiling and dedication of the World War I and World War II commemorative stones at 10:30pm, Sunday July 1, 2018 at the War Memorial, Main Street. This will include an outdoor church service at the War Memorial (weather permitting).

The Town of Port Blandford’s Annual Canada Day Celebration will take place 12:30pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Legion Road. This will include the annual flag raising, cake cutting and a light luncheon.

The Port Blandford Recreation Board will be hosting their Family Fun Day at the ballfield on Monday July 2, 2018 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. There will be jumpy castles, games of chance, hot dog/hamburgers, and activities for the kids. Bingo at 11:30am, horseshoes tournament at 1:00pm and fire department demonstration at 2:00pm.
