Getting Here

Port Blandford is located directly on the Trans Canada Highway in Eastern Newfoundland, Canada, approximately a 2.5 hour (221 km) drive west of the capital city of St. John’s.

By car from the Ferry at Port aux Basques:
From the ferry, take the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, east for approximately 7 hours (685 km), passing Corner Brook, Deer Lake, Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander and through Terra Nova National Park. Port Blandford is located on the eastern border of the Park. There are three entrances to Port Blandford off of the Trans Canada Highway.

By car from the Ferry in Argentia:
From the ferry, take Route 100 to Whitbourne for approximately 40 minutes (51 km). At Whitbourne, turn left onto the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, travelling west for approximately 1.5 hours (137 km). There are three entrances to Port Blandford off of the Trans Canada Highway.

By Air:

Take the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, east for approximately 4.5 hours (420 km) passing Grand Falls-Windsor, Gander, and Glovertown and through Terra Nova National Park. Port Blandford is located on the eastern border of the Park. There are three entrances to Port Blandford off of the Trans Canada Highway.

Into Gander Airport:
Take the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, east for approximately 1.5 hours (117 km) passing Glovertown and traveling through Terra Nova National Park. Port Blandford is located on the eastern border of the Park. There are three entrances to Port Blandford off of the Trans Canada Highway.

Into St. John’s Airport:
Take the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, west for approximately 2.5 hours (221 km). There are three entrances to Port Blandford off of the Trans Canada Highway.
