NEW TAX PAYMENT OPTIONS

E-transfers from any bank

You can e-transfer a payment on your taxes from any bank.  You can email payment to taxes@portblandford.com to make sure that the proper account is credited with the payment, in the message or comment section you could put the name of account or the account number which you can find on your invoice.  Any problems please contact the Town Office at 709-543-2170.

Scotiabank Online Payments

Scotiabank members can use this service.  Simply go to your Scotia Online Banking and add payee Port Blandford and Town of Port Blandford will come up in the drop down menu.  You will then require your account number which you can find on your invoice or simply call the Town Office at 709-543-2170 to retrieve it.  If you have any questions regarding the process our staff would be happy to assist you.

Throughout the winter the roads may have snow covered or slippery conditions. The Town reminds residents to please show caution while driving or walking the town roads. Snow means slow! Thank you

The Town of Port Blandford is requesting quotes to have landscaping work completed for the municipal park.

Interested applicants must pick up a Terms of Reference from the Town Office, which includes specifications of the work required, site map and bid sheet. Applicants must schedule a mandatory site visit when they obtain the Terms of Reference from the Town Office.

All quotes clearly marked “Quote for Municipal Park Landscaping Project” will be received up to 4:00pm on Thursday May 9, 2019 at the Town Office or by mail at:

Quotes will be opened at 4:30pm in the Town Hall on Thursday May 9 , 2019. The lowest qualified bidder as per the Terms of Reference and the mandatory site visit will be awarded the contract.

The Port Blandford Fire Department will be holding their annual poker run on Saturday February 16, 2019.

Registration time for people going on the run is from 10:00am – 12:00 noon

Registration time for people not going on the run from 12:00 noon – 4:00pm

Run start time is 12:00 noon. Route to be determined depending on the conditions.

$10.00 per hand. Draw three cards when you register at the Fire Hall and two cards when you finish at the Fire Hall. Start and Finish at the Fire Hall.

1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are $50% of registration.

Tickets on 50/50, door prize and draw prizes. Moose burgers and chili at Fire Hall after the run. Prices will be posted at the Fire Hall.

Please remember that it may be quite cold during the run so please have any children as well as yourself dressed warmly.

The public consultation for the 2019 municipal budget will take place 7:00pm Tuesday October 23, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Legion Road.

TAKE NOTICE that under and by virtue of the provisions of THE MUNICIPALITIES ACT, 1999, RSNL1999, c-M-24, as amended, an auction will be held at the Town Hall, 170 Main Street, Port Blandford, Newfoundland and Labrador, A0C 2G0 on September 6th, 2018 at 10:00 AM to auction the premises at:

(1) 60-68 Bunyan’s Cove Road, Port Blandford, Newfoundland and Labrador;

The Town has received an application to put a campground for RV’s on 5 Southern Shore Drive. Anyone with objections or comments can notify the Town Office on or before 4:00pm on July 25, 2018.
